I’m building summary exhibits for a banking fraud matter and need defensible templates for FRE 1006 schedules that spell out methodology and cite back to Bates ranges on the underlying bank records. If you’ve got a workpaper index format that pairs with chain-of-custody for native CSVs and plays nicely when exporting DAT/OPT from Relativity or Alteryx outputs, I’d appreciate a look.
I use a three-tab Excel template that’s held up in a banking fraud trial. Tab 1 starts with a one-paragraph “Methodology: filtered deposits >$5k; JOIN on acct_no+post_date; de-duped by trans_id; exceptions logged” plus the Alteryx workflow name/version and hash; Tab 2 lists Date/Amount/Account with Bates start–end, Relativity DocID, source CSV filename + SHA‑256, and a reconciliation flag to monthly statements; Tab 3 is a chain‑of‑custody index mapping each native CSV to custodian, received date, hash, and the DAT field map so OPT/DAT exports line up. If counsel wants lighter, I drop the hashes but keep Bates+DocID and the recon flag — belt-a.
